So, much speculation has gone under in the Skateboard industry as far as perfecting the landing on every trick we seek out to complete. We all yearn to fill that empty slot with a sweet kick flip that everyone got to see or even a tap of the trucks against the neighbor’s railing banister. And from experience we all know “practice makes perfect”. Most of the time, it takes quite a few bumps and bruises to get there.
We propose a helpful option.
If you haven’t heard of GWG, welcome to a safer style of skateboard practice. The Gorilla Wheel Grip basically does what it says. It grips your skateboard wheels to keep you in place while you practice on your skateboard tricks. We’ve actually come across Expert Skater Hotshots who have told us arrogantly: “Nah, brah, no thanks, I don’t need that. I love to feel and experience PAIN when I fall.” Well, We’re assuming this isn’t for everyone, but mostly beginner to intermediate skaters who want to better their techniques. But then again, a great skater is a “smart skater”. (wink!)
We see it as an “efficient tool” to use. You’ll remove the common “skateboard chase” after every crash or slip. And in turn, it also changes the atmosphere around you, as others crowd around to find out what the heck you have wrapped around your board.
We are really proud to present this product to all skaters.
SKATEBOARD SOLUTIONS IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA:
Skateboarding is actually a problem across all of Las Vegas. Only because Las Vegas has had a lot of trouble in the past with Las Vegas skaters. Here’s the Gossip on that. A skater pulled some stunt with his board off of a city bus and got hurt doing it. Rules were then placed to ban boards from buses. Yes, Longboards too! And then people fought in bringing the board back onto the bus system. The bus system did allow it again after, but with set guidelines. And from then on, skaters have been forced to wrap their board with plastic bags or some sort of cover to disable the wheels. Its actually pretty ugly to see you beautiful board be wrapped with some ugly bag. LET”S SET THE WHEELS FREE!
WE CHALLENGED THE GORILLA WHEEL GRIP AGAINST THE RULES OF THE LAS VEGAS TRANSIT BUS SYSTEM!
Welcome to the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada or more commonly known as RTC in Las Vegas. The RTC has a great busline system that spreads out across Las Vegas, but one of the itches we have on our back is the Skateboard issue.
Click here to read the 14 RTCSNV Rider Transit System Rules!
As you see there, we bring up the Third to last point made.
“As a rider on the RTC transit system, I will not bring on board the bus certain restricted items including used gasoline cans, car batteries, skateboards, scooters and skates (unless placed in a bag or container with wheels covered), tires or any object too large to fit between passenger seats;”
Ahaaaaa! Eureekaaa! “WITH WHEELS COVERED.” Good Enough. We’ll take that.
So we set out on a challenge:
1000 BUS RIDES to prove
GORILLA WHEEL GRIPS
is the #1 Product to use on the
Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada bus system.
(Yes, we said ONE THOUSAND RTCSNV BUS RIDES! Oh, man, that’s a lot of bus time.)
WE DID IT AND IT WAS A SUCCESS! All 1000 bus rides were equipped with a standard skateboard, provided by Fknhard Magazine. The skateboard was shown and visible at all times to the bus driver. The skateboard was wrapped with a noticeable, purple Gorilla Wheel Grip. “I mean, who is gonna miss the fact that we had a PURPLE GORILLA STRAPPED TO OUR SKATEBOARD?!” Overall, the challenge was well played as we had bus drivers thanking us and Gorilla wheel grips for providing a product that eased their mind on the skateboard issue in Las Vegas. (We Love RTCSNV Bus Drivers, Thank you for the love.)
Are you local or visiting Las Vegas? Want to contribute to the environment? Get a grip today and you’ll be the talk of the town while your skateboard buddies are still trying to cover their skateboard trucks and wheels with plastic bags.
